Alt Hanakage's "Ring On My Finger" Whoa! Freedom to marry!

In my country, Japan, same-sex marriage is not currently legalized and many people still suffer from prejudice and discrimination. I myself am part of the LGBTQ+ community (as a lesbian), and I find this situation very frustrating.

I feel this in my daily life, and seeing all the activists in Japan who are making daily efforts to change this situation has made me feel that it is my duty as an LGBTQ+ member to help make change as well. This made me wonder if there is anything I can do as a comic writer and as a citizen of this country. And so I decided to draw this manga "Ring on my finger” When I announced my work on Twitter, I received many many comments from Japanese people who sympathized with me and who were moved to tears. I was filled with gratitude.

We decided to have this translated into English so that people living outside of Japan can understand this situation.
